2. Information We Collect

• Account information: username, email address, password (stored as a secure hash — we never store your plaintext password).
• Purchase and subscription information: gem balance, subscription tier, and transaction history.
• Optional shipping address, if you subscribe to a tier that includes a physical gift.
• User-generated content: messages you send in Pack Talk chat and direct messages, friend/mute lists, and reports you file or are the subject of.
• Moderation records: warnings or bans associated with your account, and the reason on file.
• Usage preferences: notification and read-receipt settings.

3. How We Use Your Information

• To create and maintain your account and provide the core service (reading stories, unlocking chapters, chatting).
• To process subscription and gem purchases, and to fulfill physical gifts tied to eligible subscription tiers.
• To enforce our Terms of Service, investigate reports, and take moderation action when necessary.
• To communicate with you about your account, purchases, or changes to our policies.
• To comply with legal obligations.

4. Third-Party Service Providers

We share limited data with the following providers, solely to operate the service:

• Whop (payments & subscriptions): processes your subscription and gem purchases. Whop receives your payment details directly — we never see or store your card information.
• Google (sign-in, mobile app): used to authenticate you if you sign in with Google on our mobile app.
• Replit (hosting & storage): hosts our application, database, and any images/files you upload.

5. Data Storage & Security

Your data is stored on secure servers with encryption in transit. Passwords are hashed and never stored in plaintext. Access to user data is restricted to what is necessary to operate and moderate the service.

6. Your Rights

You can access, correct, or delete most of your personal data at any time from Account → Delete Account in the app, which permanently erases your profile, messages, direct messages, friendships, mutes, and story unlocks, and cancels any active subscription. You can also email thepackapp@outlook.com to request access to, correction of, or deletion of your data, or to ask any question about how your data is used.

7. Cookies & Sessions

We use session cookies (web) and secure tokens (mobile) solely to keep you signed in. We do not use third-party advertising or tracking cookies.

8. Minors

The Pack is not directed at children under 13. If we learn that we have collected personal data from a child under 13 without parental consent, we will delete it promptly. Contact us at thepackapp@outlook.com if you believe this has occurred.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make a material change, we will notify you by email and by an in-app notice before the change takes effect.

This Privacy Policy is governed by the laws of the State of Ohio, United States.
